Removing Blockages on Your Fast Track to Success

When you're barreling down the tracks full steam ahead with no obstructions - you get to your destinations / outcomes. And pretty quickly.

But how often do we really have zero blockages to our success?

Life happens over and over again.

I try pretty hard to stay away from absolutes like always and never. RARELY is that the case. (Ha - did you catch that?)

Sometimes we cruise along and sometimes we can't seem to catch a break.

We have blockages of one sort or another from time to time on our success tracks.

Which blocks come up for you?

If you're not getting the outcomes you want you have to figure out what is blocking the tracks. Can you put your finger on it? On what is blocking you from getting where you want to go?

And get off the victim train of how it's not your fault. There is no solving anything if you're on that track. Yes - things happen that are out of your control. That's true. But it doesn't have to mean you can't realize your dreams and goals.

Let the part of you that can solve things come to the forefront right now.

If you're unsure what's stopping you...

I'm a fan of filtering systems and I'd like to share one with you that is helpful in identifying what your obstacles are.

It's usually one of two things: skillset or mindset. And perhaps it's a little of both.

Ask yourself: Is what's stopping me because I lack a needed skill, mindset or both? Because then you can start to fill in the blanks of what's next.

If it's SKILL, here are some questions to help guide you:

  • What skill(s) do you need to acquire?
  • At what level?
  • What kind of time/money/effort investment makes sense for the situation?
  • How long will it take?
  • How do you get started?
  • Could you outsource it? Or leverage your time in another way by knocking out two things at once in some way?
  • Who could you ask for help?
  • Who has done it successfully before that you could study?

If it's MINDSET...What am I saying..."IF." Of course it's mindset! This one is constant. It's not like it breaks and you fix it - job done. It's more like getting on-going tune-ups.

So how/where/when do the 6 inches between YOUR ears create roadblocks to your success?

Here are some questions/thoughts to consider:

  • Do you have limiting beliefs? It wouldn't surprise me at all if you did. Since I've never met anyone (myself included) who didn't have them.
  • Do you get stuck in the logic side of your brain and over-think things? Hey - lots of people do this and don't even realize that's what they're doing. They're just out there doing their thing, being them. And are totally stuck in THINK mode and forget they have intuition because they are so out of touch with it.
  • Do you choose to do something else with your time instead of the needle-moving activities?
  • Do you give priority to other people's expectations of you over your real top priorities? The world will constantly bombard you with demands and options. You must keep give top priority to your highest priorities - which implies you know what they are.
  • Do you make a half-hearted attempt at moving towards a goal outside your comfort zone so you can say you tried? Or do you give it 100%?
  • What kind of energy do you put behind yourself and your day? Crappy energy/emotions lead to crappy results.
  • What kind of language are you using? Details matter here. Listen carefully to your words and their implications. **So important.**

Once you determine if it's skillset or mindset you can start exploring ways to remove the block. The key is to not expect there to be zero blocks. The key is to realize they are bound to occur, determine what the block is and remove it as quickly as possible.

THAT is what keeps you barreling down the tracks to your vision of success.

I wish you all the best on that journey.

Today is the day to #GoForIt and #Live Deliberately.
