When you're barreling down the tracks full steam ahead with no obstructions - you get to your destinations / outcomes. And pretty quickly.
But how often do we really have zero blockages to our success?
Life happens over and over again.
I try pretty hard to stay away from absolutes like always and never. RARELY is that the case. (Ha - did you catch that?)
Sometimes we cruise along and sometimes we can't seem to catch a break.
We have blockages of one sort or another from time to time on our success tracks.
If you're not getting the outcomes you want you have to figure out what is blocking the tracks. Can you put your finger on it? On what is blocking you from getting where you want to go?
And get off the victim train of how it's not your fault. There is no solving anything if you're on that track. Yes - things happen that are out of your control. That's true. But it doesn't have to mean you can't realize your dreams and goals.
Let the part of you that can solve things come to the forefront right now.
I'm a fan of filtering systems and I'd like to share one with you that is helpful in identifying what your obstacles are.
It's usually one of two things: skillset or mindset. And perhaps it's a little of both.
Ask yourself: Is what's stopping me because I lack a needed skill, mindset or both? Because then you can start to fill in the blanks of what's next.
If it's SKILL, here are some questions to help guide you:
If it's MINDSET...What am I saying..."IF." Of course it's mindset! This one is constant. It's not like it breaks and you fix it - job done. It's more like getting on-going tune-ups.
So how/where/when do the 6 inches between YOUR ears create roadblocks to your success?
Here are some questions/thoughts to consider:
Once you determine if it's skillset or mindset you can start exploring ways to remove the block. The key is to not expect there to be zero blocks. The key is to realize they are bound to occur, determine what the block is and remove it as quickly as possible.
THAT is what keeps you barreling down the tracks to your vision of success.
I wish you all the best on that journey.
Today is the day to #GoForIt and #Live Deliberately.
