๐Ÿ›‘No Sticking Your Head in the Sand๐Ÿ›‘

I totally understand the desire to bury your head in the sand during this whole ordeal.

Trust me.

But seriously - not a good move.

You know as well as I do that it's not going to help you in the long run to ignore whatever sh*t-storm is happening in your life. Alas, better to face it.

When you ignore the situation - whatever YOUR situation is - then it gets worse.

It gets worse in reality (physically & fiscally) as in no solutions = things keep getting further and further off track.

It also gets worse emotionally. When you bury your head in the sand your fears run wild and make things far worse than they really are. Ugh. I hate not knowing what I don't know. The imagined enemy (AKA the unseen enemy) is always worse than the real one.

AND...You end up with more fear and doubt because you have an even worse situation to contend with...because you didn't do anything about it.

Bring on the downward spiral.

๐Ÿ›‘ STOP! ๐Ÿ›‘ You don't have to settle for that.

Get your head out of the sand and start compiling the facts.

Find out exactly where things stand. Get on top of whatever has you worried. Understand it.

Gather your facts until you have a true picture of what's really what - not the imagined disaster. Then, and only then, will you be able to plan a good strategy for moving forward.

When you're in command of the facts and take control you open up so many possibilities.

It puts you in the driver's seat - which is really where you were all along. I'm just reminding you of that [wink].

Even if things are bad you can fillet it open and stare at it while nodding your head "Uhhuh...yep...it's bad." [insert deep breath] Then, an interesting thing happens.

As you start to look at it from a few different angles, things start to get clearer. A path forward emerges. Even if it's not what you originally wanted or hoped for, the path will emerge. You can strategize next steps. And moving forward feels good. Resolution feels good. Sitting in the problem with no end in sight - not good.

If you're in the process of strategizing forward, the MOST IMPORTANT part of the path you're walking flows in the 6 inches between your ears - YOUR MINDSET. Your success depends on keeping it pristinely strong and focused on what you want.

You must remember who the heck you are.

Don't just lay down and accept how bad it is. Get back up, Rocky! If you're successful in any part of your life then you already know how to go the extra mile and win. Use that! Get back in touch with that part of you.

โœ… Yes, you need to know the facts so you know exactly what you're up against.

โœ… Yes, you need a great strategy.

โœ… Yes, you need to execute it flawlessly.

โœ… Yes, you need to measure your results every step along the way - the more frequently the better.

โœ… Yes, you need to be agile and adjust your strategy as needed.

๐Ÿšซ But no, knowing what you "should" do won't help you at all if you don't have the mindset to back it up.

Strategy is useless if you're on the floor in the fetal position.

Get your head back in the game.

Maybe there are solutions for you that actually make you better off than where you were before said situation. Or, maybe not. Maybe there are some difficult realities for you to come to grips with. Even then - there is a path forward. Look for the best path possible from where you stand today.

When we round this corner - and we WILL round this corner -

โ“Will you be proud of how you showed up and handled yourself?

โ“Will you know you've done your best?

โ‰๏ธWill you be more confident than ever that you can handle whatever comes your way?

Oh, Love - it's a choice. DECIDE NOW. #GoForIt.

Today is the day to #GoForIt and #Live Deliberately.
